Are you a Friend of Fools?
Pro 13:20 NIV He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
Nestled and barely visible inside this parable is a powerful truth: you have to seek the company of the wise, but fools? they'll find you. A wise person is generally busy, focused, successful and going places; you rarely see them idle, doing nothing. To walk with the wise you must actively search them out, go to where they are, follow their path and get in step. Fools will find you first, ask you to join in their activities and the group-think mentality of fools leads to harm. To walk with the wise you must seek them out, pursue them. No effort is required to be a companion of fools, just do nothing and they will find you.
