Jesus is Passing By

As Jesus was approaching Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging.  36  Now hearing a crowd going by, he began to inquire what this was.  37  They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. Luke 18:35-37

The blind beggar from Jericho heard the commotion and asked what was going on around him.  "Jesus of Nazareth is passing by!"  the crowd replied.  The beggar may have been blind but he wasn't dumb.

And he called out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"  39  Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Luke 18:38-39

Get ready, don't miss him, Jesus is passing by you today!  We all were lost and blinded by sin until Jesus entered in and saved us and brought us out of darkness and into His marvelous light.  What is your need today?  What request do you have of the Lord as He passes by? Speak up!  Make yourself heard!  Don't let distractions or people or anything keep you from calling out and getting His attention.

And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He questioned him,  41  "What do you want Me to do for you?" And he said, "Lord, I want to regain my sight!"  Luke 18:40-41

In His presence Jesus will ask you too, "What do you want me to do for you?" What is your response?  What's the greatest need you have?  What's the first thing to come to mind?  Jesus of Nazareth is waiting for your request.  He is willing to give you you request, if you only ask.

And Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well."  43  Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.  Luke 18:42-43

Jesus restored his sight and he began following Him.  Now that he could see, he could follow Jesus, and that is what he did.  And that should be our response to every need Jesus answers, to every miracle from His hands, to follow Him.

Jesus is passing by.  Cry out and make your request known for He is asking, "What do you want Me to do for you?"  And as He leaves...be sure to follow.
