Too Many Voices! Going from Confusion to Confidence

We live in a world with too many voices speaking into our lives. That leads to confusion, fear, and eventually to doubt anything and everything. That leads to paralysis by analysis. Every voice we listen to has an agenda, and most of the voices we turn to for answers we know nothing about them (social media, news outlets, Youtube, etc...) The key to clarity and soundness of mind is actively and intentionally reducing the voices to those that we can trust. Who has earned your trust? Who genuinely cares for your well-being? Who do you KNOW and KNOWS YOU that needs to be a voice you listen to? They are in your life but too many others are talking and drowning out the real voice you should be listening for. Perhaps it's a wise parent, a loving spouse, a respected pastor, a godly mentor. Listen to their ideas about the fears and questions you have. Get their advice on who to turn to before letting the FB world feed you with all the conflicting "truths" they want you to believe. The Bible says satan is the author of confusion but Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He has given us His Holy Spirit to "guide us into all truth". Start by listening to the people God has placed in your life. Know who they are. Seek them out. Listen to them. Jesus said His sheep know His voice but a stranger they will not listen to. When all we hear are stranger's voices, the voice of the Master becomes lost.
