Are You an Insider?
Matthew 13:11 And He [Jesus] answered and said to them [His disciples], "To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them [the crowds] it has not been granted."
God has given you access to the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven! Does that sound exciting or what? Can you list some kingdom mysteries off the top of your head? Do you even know what that even means? What are kingdom mysteries? And how can I know them? Those are the type of questions you should be asking yourself if you are a disciple of Jesus.
For you to live the supernatural life in Christ you were created to live requires that you live according to revelation that can only come from the Holy Spirit. To gain access to that revelation, those kingdom mysteries Jesus is talking about, you have to pursue it. If you want to be an insider you cannot be content observing and interacting with Jesus from a distance. The crowd, the outsiders, have not been granted access to the mysteries of the kingdom.
This Sunday, August 28th, at Calvary Worship Center I am beginning a series titled, "Jesus' Most Confounding Statements". We will explore what the Bible and Jesus means by the mysteries of the kingdom and just as importantly, discuss why we so desperately need them in our life. Make plans now to be there. It's no mystery you need to be there!
