God is Closer Than You Think

Think of this for a moment.  When Adam was created by God and breathed his first breath, what was his first experience?  What was the first thing he saw?

Gen 2:7  Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

His first memory was the face of God, nose to nose, eye to eye.  For the rest of His creation God simply spoke the word, "And God said..." But not with Adam.  He took the time to roll up His royal robe sleeves, stoop to the ground and gather the dirt to fashion into the likeness of man.  Rather than use His breath to speak man into existence, He used His breath to breathe man into existence.  That's nearness, closeness, intimacy.  Adam's first memory of His Father was His face, full and undivided attention.  I think that speaks to the heart of God and His purpose for creating mankind.
Adam had a fully engaged, loving father.
So do you.
God is closer than you think.
