Proverbs 7 warns about the consequences of adultery but in today's world it is much more subtle than that. Today the "harlot" enters through the computer screen. The harlot is PORN.
THE STRUGGLE He seeks her "in the twilight, in the evening, in the middle of the night and in the darkness" (9) She "lurks behind every corner" (12) "With her many persuasions she entices him...seduces him...suddenly he follows her as an ox goes to the slaughter." (21-22) "He does not know that it will cost him his life" (23) THE WARNING: "Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, do not stray into her paths. For many are the victims she has cast down, and numerous are all her slain...her house is the way to hell" (25-27) THE SOLUTION "Keep my words and my commandments within you and live, and my teachings as the apple of your eye" (1-3) What are you going to fill your eyes and mind with today?
