DAY SIX-Chap 11 & 12 Engaging the Bible: 10 Days Through The Gospel of John.
Miracle 7 of 7 and I AM 5 of 7 are in chapter 11. The raising of Lazarus is the greatest miracle Jesus performed before his resurrection. It was a foreshadowing miracle, if Jesus could raise the dead and cause a man dead four days to walk out of a tomb, this would prove his power of death, but not just anyone's death, he would soon prove he had power over even his own death!
Chapter 12
John chapters 1-12 cover the earthly ministry of Jesus that spans 3.5 years. There is a definitive shift that takes place when you begin reading chapter 13: time slows down. John 13-19 only covers about 24 hours. In these latter chapters, we learn much of what Jesus taught the disciples the last night he was with them before his betrayal and arrest.
